Tableau Site Administrator

PENNEP is seeking a talented and dedicated Tableau Site Administrator to join our client's dynamic team. The ideal candidate possesses 2-5 years of experience in data warehousing, ETL data integration, business intelligence development, and database platforms. Preference is given to candidates with a Tableau Desktop Specialist Certificate from Tableau and experience in full life cycle development of reporting projects.

• Candidates with 2-5 years’ experience include:
• A strong understanding of Tableau Cloud architecture, configuration, and administration
• Familiarity with Tableau Cloud administration and maintenance
• Knowledge of Tableau Cloud deployment and license management
• Ability to manage user permissions, groups, and projects in Tableau Server and Cloud
• Understanding of Tableau Cloud security protocols and best practices
• Familiarity with Tableau metadata management, including data sources, schedules, and extracts
• Experience with troubleshooting Tableau Cloud issues, including performance tuning, connectivity, and server errors.
• Ability to collaborate with Tableau developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to understand their requirements and provide solutions.
• Familiarity with Tableau APIs, including the REST API and JavaScript API, for automation and integration with other tools.
• Strong communication and documentation skills to effectively communicate with technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
• Understanding of cloud computing technologies, such as AWS and Azure, and their impact on Tableau Cloud deployment and configuration
• Ability to develop clear and useful Tableau Dashboards around proof of concepts.
• Design, develop, conducts unit testing, and maintains complex Tableau reports for scalability, manageability, extensibility, performance, and reuse.
• Provide technical expertise in areas of architecture, design, and implementation.
• Determine the best implementation that will meet the design of the architect.
• Work with team members to create useful reports and dashboards that provide insight, improve/automate processes, or otherwise add value to the team.
• Work through iterative review cycles to deliver results that meet or exceed user expectations.
• Ensure consistency by adhering to a set of software coding and style guides.
• Resolve support tickets related to Tableau reports.

• Tableau Site Admin Certified.
• Strong understanding of Tableau Server architecture, configuration, and administration
• Familiarity with Tableau Online administration and maintenance
• Knowledge of Tableau Desktop deployment and license management
• Ability to manage user permissions, groups, and projects in Tableau Server and Online
• Understanding of Tableau Cloud security protocols and best practices
• Familiarity with Tableau metadata management, including data sources, schedules, and extracts
• Experience with troubleshooting Tableau Server issues, including performance tuning, connectivity, and server errors
• Experience with server monitoring and logging tools, such as Windows Event Viewer and Tableau Server logs
• Familiarity with virtualization technologies, such as VMware and HyperV, and their impact on Tableau Server performance and configuration
• Understanding of cloud computing technologies, such as AWS and Azure, and their impact on Tableau Server deployment and configuration
• Familiarity with Tableau APIs, including the REST API and Javascript API, for automation and integration with other tools
• Ability to collaborate with Tableau developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to understand their requirements and provide solutions
• Strong communication and documentation skills to effectively communicate with technical and nontechnical stakeholders

• Experience with Tableau Server upgrades, backups, and disaster recovery
• Certified Tableau Desktop Specialist
